Celebration: The Pineapple Jam hosted by Bob and Sandy Moss of Moss & Associates
On Friday, April 11th, the Historic Stranahan House Museum will celebrate the museum’s 30th anniversary as a history museum in Fort Lauderdale at the Annual Pineapple Jam Dinner and Auction. The event will be hosted by Bob and Sandy Moss, community leaders and founding family of Moss & Associates, who will also be celebrating a milestone of their own – their 44th wedding anniversary. The evening begins at 6 pm with a cocktail reception featuring live music, a silent auction, and historic house tours with docents dressed at Frank and Ivy Stranahan House. Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm under a grand tent overlooking the New River.
Event Co-Chairs Debra Vogel, of Wells Fargo, and Pat Kublin, of AutoNation, have spearheaded the efforts on behalf of the Board of Directors to celebrate the museum’s history while raising much needed funds to preserve the historic structure and expand the educational programs. “We are honored to have Bob and Sandy Moss celebrate an important milestone with us,” shared Vogel. “Their passion for our community and the Stranahan House has helped to lead the charge for this great event! We are grateful they have encouraged so many of their friends and business associates to rally around this important historic site.”
“This is an evening like no other,” agreed Kublin. “This will be a beautiful night along the New River celebrating our history with fine food, fellowship, and raising funds for the Stranahan House.”
The highlight of the evening will include a live auction during the sit down dinner featuring a special vacation package donated by Silversea Cruises and Landmark Travel – a 9 day cruise aboard the luxurious Silver Spirit From Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy to Barcelona, Spain on October 31, 2014. Silversea Cruises Silver Spirit carries a maximum of 540 on a vacation like no other. With six dining venues, an 8,300 square foot spa, resort-style pool, and largest suites in the Silverseas suites – 95% with private verandas.
